Strategic Conversation on Disaster Management 2008
35 disaster management specialists and leaders in the area of disaster management from evangelical agencies in 22 countries, came together for a week-long “strategic conversation” in Bangkok to discuss improved capacity building, coordination and response in the face of disasters.
Theological Educators' Consultation 2007
The Micah Network held a consultation for theological educators from the Asia-Pacific region to develop curriculum for training pastors on how to respond effectively to HIV & AIDS. The consultation took place in the Genting Highlands of Malaysia from 1-5 October 2007.
Cambodia Workshop 2007
In late April, Lea Davis from TEAR Australia and Milet Goddard from HAGAR Cambodia facilitated a Micah Network workshop in Cambodia on the meaning of partnership and on using the newly-developed Micah Network proposal guidelines. 17 people from a variety of NGOs working in Cambodia attended the workshop and contributed key insights on the format of the guidelines and their implementation and on the nature of partnership.
