Tearfund UK Advocacy Guidelines - Advocacy and Debt: A Practical Guide
Debt is central to the problem of poverty. Any advocacy work to relieve poverty must therefore address the issue of debt. Tearfund UK's Advocacy Guidelines on debt provide an in depth explanation and analysis of the global problem of debt and why Christians should get involved in taking up the cause of the indebted poor. Also included is a detailed guide to debt advocacy at a practical level, including debt advocacy at local, national and international levels. The Guidelines also explain the Jubilee 2000 Campaign and the Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSP), both introduced to tackle the issue of debt and reduce poverty.

Oxfam America - Peace Through Advocacy
Conflict is one of the major reasons that millions of poor people are unable to escape poverty. Preventing conflict starts at the local level. Oxfam helps communities identify the root causes of conflict and find creative ways to build lasting peace. When local efforts to prevent and resolve conflict fail, the 12 Oxfam International affiliates engage in high-level advocacy efforts to convince governments and international organisations to protect civilians, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and fund long-term development projects.

The Oxfam America coffee campaign website provides useful factsheets, as well as ideas for how someone can get involved in campaigning for fair trade for coffee farmers from poor countries.
